It’s been a great summer whether you are a camper or a gardener. With a wonderful balance of sun and rain, any gardener would be proud of the results. Now to get the abundance of produce harvested.
There is an abundance of things growing and developing at Immanuel as we get ready for another exciting school year. There are new staff members to introduce, new families and students to welcome and building improvements to note.
Theme
Our theme for this year is taken from Galatians 5
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galations 5:22, 23a
Each year we choose a theme that helps us focus on some aspect of what it means to live a Christians. We are here to lead, nurture and instruct students to commit to Christian living. As teachers and support staff we convey that by teaching this and living it out in our daily interactions.
Staffing
We are pleased to welcome back two teachers, Mrs. Amanda Brinkman and Mrs. Lindsay Mosterd, who have been on maternity leave and value the broader breadth of experience they will bring to the classroom. We also welcome David Muller as he begins his teaching career at Immanuel Christian School. David is a graduate of Queens University (B.Ed.) and Trinity Western University (B.A.). In addition to these three faculty members we are excited to have the rest of our teachers and support staff back with us.
Opening Day
With the Lords’ blessing we will be opening the school for the 48th year of operation on September 7th. All parents and community members are heartily invited to join us in our opening Chapel as we dedicate this year to God, welcome new students and parents, and set the direction for this new school year. The Chapel time begins at 9:00 in the school gym.
