June 10, 2010 Volunteer Appreciation Time
Over 25 volunteers showed up on the morning of June 10 to receive thanks from the teachers and support staff. A red maple was dedicated in honour of their willingness to help at the school in a variety of ways.
The red maple that was chose is like a volunteer. It decided to grow next to the house. It’s wonderful tree but it is not in suitable place. It will be transplanted so that is can be better appreciated for the shade and beauty that is embodies.
Volunteers are very much like this red maple. Volunteers have a heart for Immanuel and are willing to do many different tasks that makes learning more effective. However, if volunteers simply did what they wanted, when they wanted and where they wanted things would not go very well. Through the direction of the staff at Immanuel the volunteers are place where their help is very much appreciated.
